2021 Mataro, Single Vineyard, Spring Mountain District
We are excited to announce, in what is yet another first for Keenan Winery, the inaugural vintage of our single vineyard, Mataró.
This grape was first expressed in 2020 as a one-off barrel-aged Rosé while we waited for the brand-new vines to fully mature. In the harvest of 2021, we could finally fully commit to a red table wine produced with this exceptional grape. By far the lightest in body and structure of any wine we make, this is the perfect complement to our standard lineup. Coming in at an extraordinarily low alcohol, this wine is also, without a doubt, our best pairing with spicy food. Light, bright, red fruit-driven, and even capable of being served with a mild chill, this wine will delight in all seasons.
